VALENTINE’S DAY PASTA

What are you up for this Valentine’s day?? We talked before that we prefer to stay home rather than go out and deal with the restaurant craziness on that day. Marilyn’s birthday is on the 15th, so we celebrate her birthday and Valentine’s together. For those who share the same feelings regarding staying home, we made this very simple, fast and different pasta that has a lot of flavor. We suggest you to make or buy fresh pasta to enjoy every bite of the mixture of sweet and refreshing that comes from the honey and basil and also there’s crunchiness that comes from the mix of nuts. Have a nice Valentine’s Day!!

VALENTINE'S DAY PASTA

INGREDIENTS

Mix of nuts (cashew, Brazilian nuts, almond, pecan and macadamia)

Fresh basil

Honey (great quality)

Unsalted butter

Parmesan cheese

Salt

Pepper

Your favorite fresh pasta

VALENTINE'S DAY PASTA

DIRECTIONS

Cook the pasta al dente and set aside. Blend the mixed nuts with the fresh basil very fast, you will still have small chunks of the nuts.

VALENTINE'S DAY PASTA

Add butter and honey in a pot, let melt.

VALENTINE'S DAY PASTA

Add the blended mix of nuts and basil to the pot.

VALENTINE'S DAY PASTA

Bring to this mix the fresh pasta and sauté  for 30 seconds.

VALENTINE'S DAY PASTA

Transfer to a plate, sprinkle parmesan cheese and and a basil leaf on the side.

Brazi Bites Jalapeño Popovers
Ingredients:

1 bag Brazi Bites, defrosted

4 ea. Jalapeños

2 oz. shredded mozzarella

1 oz. cream cheese

1 T. Green onions, diced

Directions:

Cut the ends off of the jalapeños and slice down the middle.

Clean out seeds and place flat side down onto a sheet pan.

Brush lightly with oil and broil in oven until skin blisters. 
Peel the skin off of the jalapeños and small dice.

In a medium bowl mix diced jalapeños, mozzarella, cream cheese and green onions until combined.

Place Brazi Bites onto an oiled sheet pan. With your finger, press down into the Brazi Bite to create a small indentation in the top.

Place 1/2 tsp. Of the jalapeño mix in the indentation.

Place in a 400F oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Serve warm.
