What has been making me smile lately is the exchanging of human experiences that always makes me change somehow. When we had our friends from France here our routine totally changed. Sometimes while they were here we felt a little bit overwhelmed with that (in a good way) trying to combine their needs, our needs, schedules… Overall, I was so happy to do things we normally don’t find “time” to do. Going to the EMP Museum for example. It is a beautiful and fun museum to visit.
Marilyn couldn’t go that day and I really wanted to take her to see the amazing exhibitions they are having there right now.
EMP Museum is located next to Seattle’s historic Space Needle.
The museum’s concept, pop culture and music together in one museum is genius. It has something for everyone and any age. This museum not only has a fantastic sculpture of hundreds of fantastic guitars but it captivated us with the Nirvana, Hendrix, and women of rock exhibits.
Sound Lab is awesome!
We were blown away by all the Hendrix and Nirvana artifacts on display.
Horror photo booth!
One of the things we did get to do was to show them other side of the city that was Capitol Hill- the gay neighborhood.
Capitol Hill is an area that doesn’t fit any stereotypes. Part hip and urban, residential but at the same time there’s a busy nightlife going on there. Every time when I walk there I feel like I am in a small city and I think that the community feels it too. It’s almost like they have their own reality.
I had the chance to cook Brazilian food for them and I was so happy because we had caipirinhas, white husband, music and or course everything ended up like “Carnival”. lol
It was amazing!! We have the video on Instagram here!

Have an amazing weekend with lots of smile! We all deserve it!
Beijos e Tchau!
