SWEET CRAVINGS – NUTELLA BROWNIE

After writing the posts about all the sweets we had in Paris, I (yes, me Marilyn), started craving something sweet.  The cool, fall evening made me want something chocolatey and rich….of course I’m talking about brownies! But I wanted something a little different, so I decided to make brownies filled with delicious Nutella and toasted hazelnuts.  This nutty chocolate treat was just what I needed to fulfill my sweet tooth, not to mention, make Ludmilla super happy as well;).  Now is the time to eat those warm, sinful, satisfying foods that you crave all year long but don’t dare eat during bikini season.  Indulge and let me know if you think these are as to die for as I think they are!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 c. chopped hazelnuts

 Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line the bottom of a 13×9 cake pan with parchment paper, letting the paper extend over two opposite sides. Butter the two other sides.

Combine the flour and salt. Set aside. In a separate bowl beat the eggs, Nutella, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth.  Add the flour mixture alternating with the melted butter.

Pour batter into pan and sprinkle hazelnuts over the top.  Bake approximately 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    ah, I haven’t been sent a txt saying I should stop by to pick up my half dozen of these when I am in North Seattle. There better be some of these awaiting me in the freezer or the Xmas lights aren’t going up this year. beijos n tchau

Brazi Bites Jalapeño Popovers
Ingredients:

1 bag Brazi Bites, defrosted

4 ea. Jalapeños

2 oz. shredded mozzarella

1 oz. cream cheese

1 T. Green onions, diced

Directions:

Cut the ends off of the jalapeños and slice down the middle.

Clean out seeds and place flat side down onto a sheet pan.

Brush lightly with oil and broil in oven until skin blisters. 
Peel the skin off of the jalapeños and small dice.

In a medium bowl mix diced jalapeños, mozzarella, cream cheese and green onions until combined.

Place Brazi Bites onto an oiled sheet pan. With your finger, press down into the Brazi Bite to create a small indentation in the top.

Place 1/2 tsp. Of the jalapeño mix in the indentation.

Place in a 400F oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Serve warm.
