Right now it is summer in Brazil and the dress code for our hot season is the bikini. Brazil is known for this little thing called bikini, that barely covers up what it should (lol) and I can tell you that there it’s a big deal. You won’t find any Brazilian girl who only has one bikini in her closet, especially for summer…. bikini it’s like an outfit there! You must be wondering why I am talking about bikini if our winter just got started, right?!. It’s because Brazil has a strong influence in the beachwear world and what we are seeing there for summer is what we can expect for our summer here. Summer beachwear 2014 is marked by animal prints, tropical and ethnic prints, graphic designs and fringe. One more thing that goes along with the Brazilian fashion wear staple: a cover-up. Cover-ups embody casual chic that is designed to be casual street wear so that you can go from “toasting” in the sun to browsing in the shops by wearing a stylish cover-up over your swimwear. I am looking at these photos and thinking how much I need to work out!!! Here are some Brazilian brands that you should keep in mind!!
Água De Coco (website).
Morena Rosa (website)
Blue Man (website)
It was so hard to choose these photos because there are infinite styles and colors to choose from… You should look at the websites… It’s amazing!! To finish, one more photo from Vogue Brazil with Candice Swanepoel on the cover wearing an ethnic swimsuit, one of the trends for summer.
It’s hard to choose but which one it’s your favorite??
Beijos e Tchau!
