Yesterday I read an article from The Huffington Post about Pit Bulls…I saw this amazing video (here) showing a Pit Bull licking a newborn baby and it was amazing…I thought…how did this breed become so hated and discriminated against? We have an amazing Pit Bull (as most of you know) named Chloe…she is the sweetest, most gentle and patient dog I have ever had! If you follow our blog, you have seen pictures of her with us and her new sister, Julia Child. So.. I wanted to share with you all the the news of The Huffington Post. On their website, they are “launching a week-long community-driven effort to bust the myths and raise awareness of Pit Bulls, a maligned “breed” that often bears the brunt of dated, discriminatory legislation that can make it near impossible for these dogs to find a forever home”.
Like many of you, I had never had a Pit Bull and was very unsure of this breed..I had no experience good or bad.. I had only read and heard the propaganda. When Ludmilla and I met and she introduced me to her dog Chloe I immediately fell in love with her..I had no fear or trepidations about the breed after that!! She has been the most amazing, loving and gentle dog ever!!! Please read their articles and become part of the population that realizes that Pit Bulls are not the vicious animals that are portrayed in the media…If you don’t know the history of Pit Bulls, please read up on them! They were once brought on to watch over children as “nannies”…as babysitters…Yes it’s true! So please…read, watch and believe that these wonderful dogs are just that…amazing, loving and trusting.. they deserve a home, love and trust. Peace Out!!! we have more photos of Chloe and Julia Child on our Instagram.
