These are the foundations that I had/have been using lately! From my last favorite Flawless by Benefit to the best foundation I ever used – Naked by Urban Decay.
Make up is art, right?! lol
All my foundations are full coverage and for oily skin. So, I don’t know how these foundations would work for dry skin. I already told you before about my hunting for flawless skin (here) with the Maestro foundation by Giorgio Armani. I am someone that loves full coverage and my preferences come from this.
Starting from my last favorite Hello Flawless by Benefit (here). I had major breakout s with this one (even though it’s an oil free foundation), it’s very light coverage and what really bothered me was the finger print on my face every time that I finished putting it on my face. It takes forever to dry (if I wanted to retouch for example my eyeliner and touch that area – it would leave a fingerprint there). And also I have to wait a good amount of time to put powder on so it doesn’t gunk up my brush. Don’t wear it alone: it’s really sticky and melts off easlily. This didn’t work for me!! It was funny because every time I looked at the name HELLO FLAWLESS I literally was like “I wish”!! By the way, did you notice that even though I didn’t like this foundation at all I still wore it until the end!! I am a good girl!!
Shiseido Perfect Refining (here). It was too oily for me. It’s also very light coverage. Not for me!! Both foundations Shiseido and Hello Flawless must be perfect for dry skin in winter.
Dream Nude Airfoam by Maybelline (here): a HUGE surprise! When I got back from Brazil I was sooooooo tan and was so dark that my foundantion shades were to000 light for me. I felt I was wearing Marilyn’s foundation!! I didn’t have money to buy an expensive foundation until my tan faded away… So I went to the drug store dying because I had breakouts before with foundations… I saw airfoam on the bottle… I got curious, I tried it and LOVE IT!! Super cheap, dry super fast and a very good foundation.
Studio Fix by MAC... (here)everybody knows… It’s a very good foundation! For years it was the only one I wore on my face. Until…
Perfection Lumiére and Lift Lumiére by Chanel (here): Both are amazing! This is one of the best foundations I’ve ever used. There are four things that I like the most about it: It is a long lasting foundation, It is a buildable foundation, It gives a super natural finish and dries off very fast. There’s also a perfume! Nothing strong!! I can’t tell if it has any lifting benefits or not. The only “liftng” part I can see is the illusion of the skin being brightened. The Lift Lumiére is Marilyn Chudda’s favorite!
Diorskin Forever by Dior (here): This foundation is wonderful and does a great job at evening out my skin tone. It has such a lovely finish. I don’t wear powder at all. It makes my flawed skin look almost flawless. And it lasts so long!
NAKED BY Urban DECAY (here): FAVORITE, FAVORITE, FAVORITE! For many reasons: as great as Diorskin and both Chanel foundations, it has more coverage than them and the has the BEST PRICE! Love it love it love it!! Every time I wear it I always get compliments on how natural it looks. I remember when I wore it for the first time at work at least 5 people made a comment about how glowing and flawless my skin was.
These are my favorite brushes to put my foundation on with:
188 or 187 duo fiber by Mac (especially for summer it gives you a lightweight layer) and the Kabuki flat by Shiseido. I also like to use this sponge Beauty Blender (for night usually)!
An example of beauty that doesn’t need any of these!!! Love love love her so much!!
Beijos e Tchau!
