Maestro fusion foundation SPF15 by Armani is the new, award winning makeup foundation I’ve discovered that introduces a whole new level to the ‘weightless’ foundation category! The newest addition to the Armani makeup collection that claims to be “the thinnest foundation in the world” makeup is certainly new and unusual.
This foundation also is all about technology: no water in the formula, but five different oils that evaporate, leaving the fine pigment veiled over the skin. It is also non-comedogenic, which means that it doesn’t cause or aggravate acne. The foundation is so fluid that you need to dispense it with a dropper and quickly smooth it over the skin.
Traditional foundations are usually emulsions with water in oil containing fillers; those fillers can produce a visible masking effect. Maestro was created with five out-of-the box principles, delivering a result never seen before.
I have applied this foundation with both my fingers and various brushes. I think application with my fingers is my favorite because you get to fully experience the silky feel of a dry oil. The formula is a combination of five volatile, semi-volatile, and non-volatile oils. It was funny when I read about the oils used in this foundation. I freaked out because I break out very easy and I hate to see my face “shining”. What happens with this foundation is the opposite!!
You will need only 3 drops for your entire face and blend fast because it dries fast too. The smell of the foundation is light and amazing, and lasts for about 12 hours. No kidding!! This makeup magically gets better looking as the day progresses. You can’t even see the foundation!! It’s AMAZING!!
You won’t get high coverage out this foundation, but you can get a decent medium coverage by building it up in layers. For me this is the only down point about the Maestro fusion. I love full coverage makeup and you won’t get that with this one. Remember when I posted about natural makeup? Maestro foundation would be the best option for that and I think for summer it is a great option!!
Maestro Fusion…is it my favorite foundation??? NOPE!! I will do a post with my 5 top foundations very soon!!
