Brazilian flair summer salad is all about fresh ingredients, that are perfectly ripe, juicy and naturally sweet. On top of this very colorful salad there’s toasted almonds to give that perfect crunchiness and crumbles of feta cheese to add to the salad that salty flavor. The dressing is a mix of vinegars that is so easy and fast to make.
When I first moved here I almost didn’t eat fruit because it’s not sweet enough, the flavor is different. If you have been to Hawaii or any tropical area you know what I am talking about. Every time when I go to Brazil, fruit is one of my favorite foods to eat. It tastes just perfect!! However, after awhile I got used to the taste and I discovered fruit that we don’t have in Brazil. Berries (now you can find them in some cities but when I was growing up I never saw raspberries or fresh peaches for example. Blackberries were a little different, we had them but they were not very popular at that time.)
For me this Brazilian flair summer salad is so American, it’s such a summer salad that makes it so easy to love salad. Enjoy it!
Link of the day…
This holiday weekend I did almost nothing and it was so nice!! I ate and watched a couple of movies that I’ve been wanting to watch but haven’t had time at the end of the day, except to sleep. I watched Room with Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay. It’s beautiful, deep and heartfelt!! Here is the interview with Brie Larson that is so interesting and she looks so real.
