BRAZILIAN FLAIR PASSION FRUIT MOUSSE

Brazilian flair passion fruit mousse is extremely delicious and easy to make. You will need only 3 ingredients and in 3 minutes you will have this dessert that everyone loves.

BRAZILIAN FLAIR PASSION FRUIT MOUSSE

Passionfruit or maracujá (in português) is very popular in Brazil! Because of that, the prices are very reasonable and there’s so much food and drink made from it. We told you about this here , remember?

Every time when we have party here at our house I make this dessert for two reasons: first, it’s easy and very fast to make and EVERYONE loves it! I almost forgot to mention that I love to see people’s reactions when they ask me the recipe: condensed milk, table cream and passionfruit blended for about 3 minutes or until it gets thick. THAT’S IT!!

The video below proves you how fast and easy it is. And guys it’s one more Brazilian dessert made from condensed milk…. the options are endless with my favorite dessert ingredient! If you are wondering about the fresh passionfruit… don’t worry you don’t need to use fresh… Usually I make this dessert with concentrated passionfruit juice that I buy at the Brazilian store or online (here). It’s WAY less expensive than buying fresh passionfruit and you have it all year ’round. The only reason I buy fresh passionfruit in summer is  to make caipirinhas.  For desserts, cakes and everything else I use the concentrated  juice.

You can make it with lime juice also and it’s delicious! If you are wondering about the thickness of the mousse it depends on how much citrus juice you use. I always add a little bit more passionfruit then this recipe requires because I really like the citrus flavor of passionfruit.

BRAZILIAN FLAIR PASSION FRUIT MOUSSE
 
Ingredients
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of table cream
  • 1 can of PassionFruit concentrate (use the condensed milk can as your measure)
  • 1 fresh passionfruit seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
  1. Blend everything together, pour in a bowl and let cool it in the refrigerator for at lest 3 hours.
  2. If you have fresh passionfruit, add the seeds on top of the mousse before refrigerating.

Ingredients
  • 1 lata de leite condensado
  • 1 lata de creme de leite
  • 1 lata de suco de maracujá (usar a lata de leite condensado como medida)
  • 1 maracujá fresco para decorar (opcional)

Instructions
  1. Bater todos os ingredientes no liquidificador.
  2. Colocar em uma travessa e levar a geladeira pr pelo menos 3 horas.

    • Hi Dannii!
      It’s not cheap for us here either in Seattle which is why we sometimes use passionfruit juice. We only buy the fresh passionfruit for the topping and for special occasions! Passionfruit juice in this dessert is still delicious!

    I”m all for easy desserts, especially ones made of fruit!

    Now I have to try passionfruit concentrate… I don’t think I’ve had it! (I have hunted up a local Brazilian store after another post of yours… LOL)

    please can you tell me what “table cream” is we do not get that here in the UK? what could I use as a substitute?

    • Hi Melanie!
      We’ve never made this with a different cream. THe passionfruit citrus gives the consistency of the mousse. You may be able to make it with a different cream but add more passionfruit. Heavy cream fat % is between 36 and 40 %. Table cream is 20%. Making a measure of 150g of heavy cream and 150g of milk would solve this by getting almost the same fat % of table cream. Or you can try with heavy cream, and add more passionfruit. Let us know if you try it and how it turns out with the substitution!! Thank you!

Brazi Bites Jalapeño Popovers
Ingredients:

1 bag Brazi Bites, defrosted

4 ea. Jalapeños

2 oz. shredded mozzarella

1 oz. cream cheese

1 T. Green onions, diced

Directions:

Cut the ends off of the jalapeños and slice down the middle.

Clean out seeds and place flat side down onto a sheet pan.

Brush lightly with oil and broil in oven until skin blisters. 
Peel the skin off of the jalapeños and small dice.

In a medium bowl mix diced jalapeños, mozzarella, cream cheese and green onions until combined.

Place Brazi Bites onto an oiled sheet pan. With your finger, press down into the Brazi Bite to create a small indentation in the top.

Place 1/2 tsp. Of the jalapeño mix in the indentation.

Place in a 400F oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Serve warm.
