BRAZILIAN FLAIR BRIGADEIRO FRENCH TOAST ROLL-UPS

Brazilian flair brigadeiro French toast roll-ups are delicious  with gooey filling stuffed into the middle of them, golden-brown, coated in  sweet and crunchy cinnamon sugar. This dessert can be gluten free if you make with gluten free bread.

This easy dessert/breakfast is a such fun way to make a delicious meal with simple ingredients. You will need a good soft slice of white bread trimmed of its crust. After that you will  roll it thin with a rolling pin and spread with brigadeiro filling before being rolled up tightly. As soon you are done rolling all of them,  dip them in an egg mix bath, saute in butter until golden and slightly crisp on the outside, and finally roll them with cinnamon sugar or only cinnamon if you are not a sugar addict like me!

I learned from Marilyn to fall in love with sauces!! Here are The New Mother Sauces according to The New York Times.

BRAZILIAN FLAIR BRIGADEIRO FRENCH TOAST ROLL-UPS
 
Ingredients
  • 10 slices white sandwich bread (the soft and fluffy type)
  • Brigadeiro
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ c. cup of milk
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and cut into medium-sized cubes, plus more for topping
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
Instructions
  1. Cut crusts from slices of white bread, and flatten bread with rolling pin.
  2. Spread brigadeiro filling on 1 side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place cut strawberries on one end of the bread.
  4. Tightly roll up the slice of bread.
  5. Continue with remaining slices.
  6. In a bowl, beat eggs and milk with whisk/fork.
  7. In another dish, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  8. In a non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  9. Dip each roll into egg mixture, and place in skillet.
  10. Cook in batches of 4 or 5, turning until roll is browned.
  11. Roll into cinnamon sugar, and roll until completely covered.
  12. Add fresh strawberries on top.
  13. Serve immediately.

Beijos and Tchau!! BRAZILIAN FLAIR BRIGADEIRO FRENCH TOAST ROLL-UPS

 
Ingredients
  • 10 fatias de pão de de forma branco
  • Brigadeiro
  • 3 ovos
  • ¼ de xícara de leite
  • 2 xícaras de morangos, descascados e cortados em cubos de tamanho médio, além de alguns mais para a cobertura
  • 1 xícara de açúcar granulado
  • 1 colher de chá cheia de canela em pó
  • Manteiga para cozinhar

Instructions
  1. Corte as cascas das fatias de pão de forma branco, e achate o pão com um rolo de macarrão.
  2. Espalhe brigadeiro em um lado de cada fatia de pão.
  3. Coloque os morangos cortados em uma extremidade do pão.
  4. Enrole a fatia de pão.
  5. Continue com as fatias restantes.
  6. Em uma tigela, bata os ovos e o leite com um garfo.
  7. Em outro prato, misture o açúcar e a canela.
  8. Em uma frigideira antiaderente, derreta a manteiga em fogo médio.
  9. Mergulhe cada rolo na mistura de ovo e coloque na frigideira.
  10. Cozinhe em lotes de 4 ou 5, virando até dourar os rolinhos.
  11. Enrole em açúcar e canela, deixando-os completamente cobertos.
  12. Adicione morangos frescos por cima.
  13. Sirva imediatamente.

    A sweet way to start the day! Kids would go crazy over them. I’m the biggest fan of strawberries, add some cinnamon and you’ve made my kind of treat. Lovely recipe, l’ll give it a go.

Brazi Bites Jalapeño Popovers
Ingredients:

1 bag Brazi Bites, defrosted

4 ea. Jalapeños

2 oz. shredded mozzarella

1 oz. cream cheese

1 T. Green onions, diced

Directions:

Cut the ends off of the jalapeños and slice down the middle.

Clean out seeds and place flat side down onto a sheet pan.

Brush lightly with oil and broil in oven until skin blisters. 
Peel the skin off of the jalapeños and small dice.

In a medium bowl mix diced jalapeños, mozzarella, cream cheese and green onions until combined.

Place Brazi Bites onto an oiled sheet pan. With your finger, press down into the Brazi Bite to create a small indentation in the top.

Place 1/2 tsp. Of the jalapeño mix in the indentation.

Place in a 400F oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Serve warm.
