BRAZILIAN FLAIR BRIGADEIRO CHOCOLATE CUPS

Brazilian flair brigadeiro chocolate cups with homemade whipped cream and fresh strawberries are an easy, delicious and cute dessert that will impress any guest.

BRAZILIAN FLAIR BRIGADEIRO CHOCOLATE CUPS

These little cups are made with dark chocolate.  The filling is a Brazilian coconut mixture that we have made before and used in so many recipes (like this brownie and this cake),  and brigadeiro “mousse” in which we added whipped cream to make it less sweet and more smooth. It turned out simply perfect!!! On top we added more whipped cream and fresh strawberries. I love chocolate with any fruit!

This recipe is not expensive, but will require a little time. When we made these chocolate cups for the first time we didn’t spread the melted chocolate evenly and the sides weren’t thick enough. So, when we unwrapped the chocolate cups they broke. Make sure to spread the chocolate evenly and make the sides thick. You will love this dessert. Enjoy it!

BRAZILIAN FLAIR BRIGADEIRO CHOCOLATE CUPS
 
Ingredients
  • Chocolate Cups
  • 7 oz. dark chocolate
  • Aluminum cups for the chocolate cups.
  • For the Filling
  • 1 recipe brigadeiro
  • ½ c. Whipping cream
  • 1 c. Condensed milk
  • 1½ c. Unsweetened coconut shreds
  • Strawberries, sliced
Instructions
  1. For the Chocolate Cups
  2. Divide the chocolate into 5.5 oz and 1.5 portions
  3. In a double boiler melt the 5.5 oz. chocolate.
  4. Take off of the heat and stir in the 1.5 oz. portion until smooth.
  5. Pour into the cups and swirl around until coated. Pour excess back into remaining chocolate.
  6. Chill until set.
  7. Brigadeiro
  8. Make brigadeiro and chill slightly
  9. Whip cream until stiff and fold ¼-1/2 of the cream into the brigadeiro until combined.
  10. Save extra whipped cream for the topping.
  11. Chill until ready to fill.
  12. Coconut filling
  13. Heat 1 c. Condensed milk and coconut shreds until simmering.
  14. Cook until reduced and thick.
  15. Cool until ready to fill chocolate cups.
  16. When ready
  17. Peel the foil away from the Chocolate cups.
  18. Place the cups onto a platter for plating.
  19. Place 1 T. Coconut filling into the bottom of the cup.
  20. Place 2 T. Brigadeiro on top.
  21. Top with whipped cream.
  22. Place strawberries on top.

Brazi Bites Jalapeño Popovers
Ingredients:

1 bag Brazi Bites, defrosted

4 ea. Jalapeños

2 oz. shredded mozzarella

1 oz. cream cheese

1 T. Green onions, diced

Directions:

Cut the ends off of the jalapeños and slice down the middle.

Clean out seeds and place flat side down onto a sheet pan.

Brush lightly with oil and broil in oven until skin blisters. 
Peel the skin off of the jalapeños and small dice.

In a medium bowl mix diced jalapeños, mozzarella, cream cheese and green onions until combined.

Place Brazi Bites onto an oiled sheet pan. With your finger, press down into the Brazi Bite to create a small indentation in the top.

Place 1/2 tsp. Of the jalapeño mix in the indentation.

Place in a 400F oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Serve warm.
